6 Easy Ways to Grow Your Instagram Audience

When we began working with Ricky’s NYC, a New York beauty retailer, in August they had 3,200 Instagram followers (@Rickys_NYC). In less than 90 days we’ve successfully and organically grown their followers to more than 8,800 followers. Here’s how we did it:

  • Frequency: Rather than posting just a few times a week, we began posting daily. Previously, no photos were being posted over the weekend. We’ve since discovered this is when they receive the most engagement. In addition to daily posts, we’ve also increased the frequency to include multiple posts a day though we’re careful to space them throughout the day.

Who else wants an 18¢ cost per click?

It’s no secret that over the years email marketing has become less effective. With the proliferation of emails being sent, increased security with spam blockers and our shortened attention spans dealers have had to find new ways to connect with their customers.

Facebook’s Custom Audience feature can help you connect by using the email addresses you’ve spent years collecting. This feature allows you to upload a .CSV file of your prospects and customers email addresses and match it against Facebook users. Essentially, if the email address you have on record matches the email address of a Facebook user, you have the ability to place your ad directly in their Newsfeed. I mean, how cool is that? Especially because we’re seeing dealers get an average match rate of around 50%. Now, you no longer have to worry if your email went to junk mail or if your subject line was “catchy” enough to open. Your message is being delivered and seen in a non-intrusive way.

By: Beth Clark

AMBITIOUS. CREATIVE. DETERMINED. I feel these words capture most of my work ethic and personality and I am so excited to join such a stellar team of ladies that are led by one of the best in the automotive industry for social media – Kate Frost Inc.

I first met Kate Frost at the Google Campus in Palo Alto, CA when David Kain, from Kain Automotive introduced us. I was there for the 2012 Digital Marketing Summit and had the insane pleasure of learning from elite automotive gurus including but not limited to; Amir Rezvani, Co-Founder of DealerOn, Jeff Kershner, Founder of DealerRefresh, Duncan Scarry, CEO of Moore and Scarry Advertising; the list goes on! At the time, I was the Digital Marketing Manager for the 2012 Business of the Year, Reed-Lallier Chevrolet in Fayetteville, NC and was doing my best at managing not only the marketing department, but being a full time mom of 2 and sometimes dad while my husband served our country overseas.

Learn How to Kick Your Social Media into High Gear

Last week I had the pleasure of hosting my third DealerOn webinar with the lovely Eliana Raggio. The webinar, “How to Kick Your Social Media into High Gear” talked about how social media platforms have become very visual and the importance of visual marketing.

I challenged the audience to stand out from the crowd and focus on these elements:

  • Keep it real – real photos, real things, taken by real people
  • Infographs & checklists – turn data in to visuals
  • Make it fun – social media is about brevity, so have fun with it!
  • Make it trending – pay attention to the news and what’s being talked about
